HI Alan,
Nice to see you around again, I use mainly black with any darker blue I have around. Look at photographs and the sea away from the coast looks much darker than you would expect so about half and half black to blue is what I use, with a bit of green chucked in. Don't overdo the white though otherwise your ship looks like it is sailing on a sea of merangue. Where the wake is thrown up I go with more of a green shade. Then lots of kleer to make it shiny and wet looking, splash that about a bit on the hull as well.
