Gentlemen,
I was wondering if any of us warship experts know of the first ships painted in the prewar Measure 1. I figure it would have been with ships of the Atlantic Fleet so the measure could be evaluated by the Navy Department in Washington before being passed on to fleet in the Pacific.
I'm specifically looking for the CV, BB, CA, CL, & DD. I may be completely wrong in suppossing the measure would be tried with the Atlantic Fleet.
I ask because I am placing an order for some paints soon. Since I'm trying to build my prewar fleet from the last half of 1940, before the general adoption of Measure 1, I want to do a ship of each in that scheme and I'm figuring that since it took a few months before a fleetwide measure was adopted, in the case of Measure 1 that would be January 1941, I could do the prototype ship. Also, would I be wrong in suppossing that a flagship would not be a prototype ship so the Admirals coould observe the measures effectiveness.
