Hello carrier builder,

You should also visit the french archives site, the Service Historique de la Dfense:
Here is the address for the list of ships for which the site provides drawings:

http://www.servicehistorique.sga.defens ... tebato.php

If you go down to LST, you will find links to the drawings for a generic LST, LST 802, LST 1156 and LST 1171.

Best regards,

domi13

You should be aware that, if you know the LST number of your Father's LST, you could go to http://www.navsource.org/archives/10/16/16idx.htm to see if there are any photos of it.

My next project is still in the planing stage. It will be an LST @ 1/72 scale. "static model" Unlike my first project I will do more research on this one. I would like to find plans for one. The carrier I had to scale up from a 1/544 scale model! The LST is not the most glamours ship to model but my late father served on one in ww2. Any help will be great Thanks.
Hi carrierbuilder Welcome . Which 1:144 carrier are you working on?

Or, you could go to http://www.hnsa.org/doc/plans/lst983.pdf
But Floating Drydock plans are scaled, usually with two options.
He'll also advise, if there are several class/date plans available, which would be appropriate for your fathers ship.

The floating drydock has plans for LST 542 at http://www.floatingdrydock.com/TFW2.htm near the bottom of the list.
