Hello all,
Since I've started my first large scale build, I'll need a little assistance. Some of you already know what I'm building, yet some don't.
Anyway, I've chosen, of course, something terribly difficult

to start with. Not as straight forward as a warship I guess. It's an handy-size LPG carrier, hence it has one propellor and one rudder.
That said, she does have some sharp edges, just above and below the propellor she quite a sharp edge. Also in the stem, just on top of the bulb, on the designed waterline, she also has a sharp edge. I intend to insert a Brass strip, like Dave already suggested. I remember Laurent also used that method. My only question now is, how do you insert such a strip without losing too much force in your keel??? If possibly, please attach some pictures if possible, always easier to understand that way.
Also how do you fill around that strip to make a smooth connection to the rest of the hull. My wooden keel is 8mm broad, aft I had to reduce it to 3mm due to the shape of the aft ship.
Thanks in advance,
Roel
