I have started yet ANOTHER project. I know, I know, I have a billion other models that will probably never be finished but that isn't the point right now.
I was sitting in my room thinking about how to start a scratch-built diorama since I had the idea in my head for some time. I really didn't want to have to build a hull and then it hit me; I had a medium size kit of the Cutty Sark that was missing some pieces but the hull pieces was all there. I realized that if my diorama was of a sinking ship no one would really be able to tell that the hull was a sailing ship since the stern is similar to a stern from a late 1800's ship. And so here is my progress so far:

- Here is the model with the poop deck applied as well as the hull plating.
-

- here is a close-up of the hull plating. It didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped but when I weather the hull I think it will look good.
-

- Here is the model just after the application of the main deck. The superstructure has also been applied. The portholes are kind of large but a regular hole-punch is all I had to work with.
-

- Here is a close-up of the super structure on the main deck. The bergundy paint you can see is to mimic carpet.
