The Snyder and Short paint chip set Royal Navy Set 3 claims to include the two colours for HMS Storm.

Thanks John! Will take note here on the notebook to get those paints. In any case, I'm starting to read Edward Young's book One of our submarines on this particular submarine and hopefully it will provide with more information. Thanks again.

I'd say the blue in the print is artistic license. More difficult to tell about the model. I'd still go with my original guess, and with antifouling black saddle tanks & underwater hull. That dark grey is just too dark to be anything other than G.10 or G.5.

Hmmm, my thoughts as well at first...even more with that aerial photo showing a much darker colour.

Painting and model I was referring to :

My guess would be G.10 and G.45. Not as sexy as a green or blue, but more likely.

Greetings gentlemen,

Was wondering if someone knows of some reliable information of what would be the best colours to use for HMS Storm during her Far Eastern deployment late in the war? I saw no colour photos so far and only a painting and a model of her that shows a very light grey and a darker colour (dark green/blue perhaps???).
