First, let's figure out which ships we're talking about here--the WW2 Tribal-class destroyers, or the postwar Tribal-class frigates?

The Online info at ShipCamo is all USN, but you might check out some of the WR Press Royal Navy camouflage books. Drop Randy a line if you have questions as to which will best answer your question.

Explore Shipcamoflage.com at the bottom of the front page. Colors & schemes vary greatly depending on time & place & prevailing thought at the time. BIG subject! hth

Can anyone help? I'm interested in building the Dean's Marine kit of HMS Amazon or Mohawk and have seen four different paint schemes in total used. Mohawk- Red hull, black above the water-line/ Black hull, grey above the water-line. Amazon- Red hull, black above the water-line/ Red hull, grey above the water-line. Is there a good reference book or internet source i can look at when i come to paint my kit that anyone could recommend? Nick
