couldn't live with was the way they stepped on and trampled over historical accuracy, despite claiming they went to great lengths to research the actual battle beforehand. That fact alone made it hard to watch without laughing openly at certain scenes. The people next to me in the theater must have thought I was a nutcase.
I remember all the hype about the movie before seeing it, how they had researched all the complexed storyline, went on and created those amazing 3D models of the famous vessels on battleship row, then when I finally got to see the movie, I was sat watching planes bombing Spruance class DDs and Knox class FFs.
What the hell was that all about?
