Greetings fellow modelers! Thank you for you're replies!
TI4438 - I spray paint the nameplate flat black and when dry, I use flexable sanding sticks to remove the paint from the slightly raised lettering, revealing the lighter colored plastic beneath.

What a neat little kit despite the fit problems. I had a lot of fun on this build, my first WWI warship. Now that she's done it's on to the 1/350th scale 1943 refit! WIP to follow soon. Thank you all for your comments and critiques.
