Thanks Cliffy, thats good advice.

Hi Tracy,
I expected John to answer my question as he has in the past. However, in his absence your suggestion makes sence. Thank you.

So noted. :Oops_1:

I'd have sent you to ShipCamouflage but they don't have WWI color chips either. Have you tried contacting John and asking him, since it's his site?

I think what he means about color chips is a sample of the color when you click on the paint so that you have some idea what the color is. A lot of us are familiar with the colors already but there are plenty that aren't. No its not an essential part to have on their site but it is one those "couldn't hurt" points.

Glen, if you have specific questions about an item(s), mark down the item number(s) and include them in an e-mail to WEM. I always e-mail before an order to check parts availability and ask any questions and they've always replied promptly (with in a business day) and answered everything fully. When in doubt, shoot them an e-mail. Their customer service is great.

Why would they give color chips? They're trying to drive you to buying their paints.

Problems with WWI colours

I realy appreciate that WE has given us a range of WWI (GW) paints but I need some clarification on them.
1. It says RN and USN. Were all colours used by both navys?
2. On the WE site, under colours for Dreadnaught, it gives us GW2 and later GW3. We know early on Dreadnaught was painted in a dark grey (GW2) so what is GW3? The site only gives the most rudamentary description of each colour such as just Grey and no colour chips.
3. I'm looking for a light grey for HMS Queen Elizabeth as she led the High Seas Fleet into Scappa at the end of the war. Any Suggestions?
