The Bosses at Royal Mail are "fattening the calf" for privatisation.
That will signal the end of country wide delivery for a standard price.

WEM Shipping Charges

by John Snyder » Thu Mar 29, 2012 8:34 pm

It gives us no pleasure to announce that we are finally going to have to raise our postage rates, after absorbing Royal Mail increases for years now. :Mad_5: Minimum postage on any packet, i.e. anything more than 25mm thick, will have to rise to 3.50 including VAT. Overseas rates will also increase, generally 5%-10%. And finally, we are going to have to start charging shipping on WEM items as well. These changes will be effective Monday, 2 April.
