Bob is actually one of those, who really developed a 'style'. I immediately recognised a model for sale in my (then) local maritime bookshop in Alkmaar/Netherlands as one of his without having to read the badge ...

Thanks Wefalck,
I built his one on impulse. I was just looking through one of my old shipbuilding journals and came across the plan and liked the look of it. I also like this type in general. In fact my old ship, the St. Helena was probably one of the last small passenger ships. 3,150 gross tons, 300 feet long, but carried 76 passengers UK to Cape Town and 48 deck passengers as well between Ascension and Cape Town. I was on that ship for 11 years.

By coincidence, I looked a few minutes ago at your Web-site (because I wanted to give someone in a German forum a reference to your models) and saw the SOFALA there ... I always had a week spot for those colonial coastal steamers because some family members were in the Togo colonial service before WWI.
