The site was most likely illegal, as it probably reproduced copyrighted material by Wolfram zu Mondfeld. He is a German author/editor of maritime books, particularly books on shipmodelling. His books are popular, but have to be viewed with some caution, as he is not an expert on everything and particularly the later ones have been written or compiled with a view to make money from them. He also builds/restores models, but the same caution has to be applied, even though various of them are distributed around museums in Germany.

There was a wonderful web site on the rigging of sailing ships that I had bookmarked but which seems now to have disappeared. It contained detailed illustrations (line art) of rigging tackle and other hardware and showed how very mast and spar is supported. I believe the name 'Wolfram' was in the URL for the site. Does anyone recognize what I am describing? Does anyone know what happened to the site or the source of the information? it seemed to be chapters from a book, but I don't recall the title of that either.
