It has been a while since I posted, so here is a rushed one. I have done quite a bit, but mostly the dirty work, such as scraping the seams off several bitts and life rafts, which kept giving me thumb cramp. I intended to build this sytematically, superstructure by superstructure, but have found myself jumping all over the place. The forecastle is more or less done, with the anchor chain from the kit (forgot to to photo this area; maybe later).
Here is my little flotilla 90% complete, with the need to fill in one or two seams in the brass and correcting some dodgy masking. I also used 100% artistic licence with the brass and wood finishes. Am I reasonably accurate enough with these finishes?
I have also added some oars and life buoys

and there is a small tarpaulin on the 45ft fast motor boat to hide an ugly gap I didn`t anticipate.
This pic contains my Walrus, for which it is decision time as to whether to use or not, seeing as it won`t fit in the hangar as planned. I may leave it half in, half out. It certainly isn`t my finest biplane, what with its silvered Tamiya decals and all. I should be able to correct this, though. the paintwork also requires some touching up. My Nikon micro lens really isn`t my modelling hobbies best friend.
Hopefully, I should be able to make a little more progress now that I have finished a time consuming H+S safety course recently. Thanks for looking.
Regards, Dave
