By German build, you mean built in Germany

Britain and Germany were the main builders of ships at this time.

It's Vitoria painting in 1885 that the ironclads Zhenyuan has been bought from Germany which was built by Stettiner Vulcan AG.Prince chun parade Beiyang fleet ,warship hanging colored flag,the main reference from the royal court painting of Qing dynasty.As a result of World War II,sources and references had been destoryed in war.Maybe something was wrong.
