I know what you mean. I went pretty crazy the first 2 days after I found it. I've cured myself for now, or at least until I find another modern USN project to research...

Great modern USN reference site

I just found the US Defense Department's Defense Visual Information Center website. It allows you to search and download images (hi-res) for free. You can also order hardcopies of the images. Most of the pics are of the USN and USAF. It is mainly images taken after 1982. There's some great photos that are not on Navsource or other websites. Hope you guys like it.
