Greetings everyone,
This is my very first post for the forum. I'm in the process of building only my second real ship model, Trumpeter's 1/350 scale JMSDF KONGO-class DDG. But I'm having a little trouble getting the correct color for the main hull. The paint guide suggested I use Tamiya XF53 Dark Grey for the hull, however I just finished spraying a little while ago, and wouldn't you know it, the hull looks way too dark! Or at least it looks too dark when I compare against photos of other KONGO DDG's from this site.
So my question is this: what is the proper color to use on the KONGO DDG? I have a bottle of Tamiya Sky Grey XF-19 on hand, do you think that will work? I think the XF-53 Dark Grey is more suited to the top deck.
Thank you for any help you can provide,
-Justin
