hello all,
I usually scratchbuild so have not dealt with this problem. recently decided to build a couple of models from kits as gifts. first was the old revel 1/32 scale spitfire. had a tough time getting a clean straight separation between two different colors. for the large flat areas (wings, fuselage) and the canopy frames i did what i do on my scratchbuilt projects (masking with tape and liquid). no problem. unfortunately just couldn't figure out how to mask small raised details on the instrument panel or the straps and buckles on the parachute. the results don't hold up to close inspection.
would really appreciate your advice and tips, links to threads and tutorials if this has been discussed previously. just started the revel 1/72 suseeker predator (for my sister with my niece's name on it
) and would like to do a better job on all the molded details.
