Thanks I was wondering the same, drives me nuts painting, scraping, gluing, painting, scraping.

I have prepainted multiple small parts on sprues but only when attachment points are small and clean up is easy or minimal, otherwise it's pointless to paint them, then remove them from sprues, clean up, and then have to paint them all over again. An alternate method which works very well is removing the parts, cleaning them up, then sticking them standing up (the parts, I mean :big_grin: ) to a piece of double-sided tape which has been stuck to a piece of board, box top, etc., and then airbrushing them en masse. Arrange all your parts according to color, and make sub-assemblies wherever possible. :wave_1:

What I need is some general guides on painting, including using airbrushes. I've seen and used plenty for things like Star Trek models, but none for ships especially videos. I'd love to know if people are painting on the sprues or off for large numbers of small parts? Also painting Hull Red, as most of them seem to come out the wrong shade if you use it right out of the bottle. If I've missed something on the board, my apologies but I have looked.
