I'm thinking about just popping off the upper works then masking and hand painting the other deck detail.

The deck sheet does have some warping and I was hoping I could fix w/o showing a crimp so I'm still thinking of raising up the stern edge. Afraid to use steam on a wood/paper deck.

Can you spray the hull upside down (so the paint doesn't get on the deck) and then handbrush to get the deck details? Then you can just mask the deck around the superstructure, which should be a lot easier than masking each deck detail.

Hey guys. Just bought a model half built with a Hunter wood deck already applied. I want to remove it and paint the ship another color. Any idea's on how to remove it w/o tearing it? I was thinking about just masking the deck but that seems like more of a pain than removing and reapplying the deck.
