it pretty much behaves like any other primer. I imagine it would. Guess you gotta try it. OR>..just don't spray it so heavily that it runs :thumbs_up_1:

Does it sand well if there is a run?

I have had a google and this stuff seems to be readily available in the UK and at a really good price so think I will give this a try :thumbs_up_1:

Rona. I think I've seen it at Home Depot as well. It's a pretty ubiquitous product here in Canada. Canadian Tire most likely has it as well.
Definitely give it a try.

Well, Now after some curing, this stuff is very solidly adhered to the brass. I can't scratch it off with my fingernail. Subsequent paint layers have bonded to this undercoat extremely well. Best bonding to plastic/PE I've every seen.

Interesting. I have some brass 1/32 scale 16" rounds I am going to have to paint soon. I am anxious to hear how it works for you.

So I was at the hardware store the other day and hunting around for a better primer while I was supposed to be picking up a bath mat. I saw this product that is designed to go onto glass as a 'frosting'.

So if it has enough adhesion promoters to bond to glass that is subject to cold and hot changes and even condensation; then I figured it must be some amazingly adhesive paint. Plastic and PE are the worst surfaces to 'prime' because, like glass, they have little natural tooth among other things. Maybe this stuff would bond to plastic and PE like it does to glass...?
I got home and did some tests and sure as heck, it sticks like crazy to PE and plastic....far better than anything I've ever tested including Tamiya Fine surface, fusion for plastics, Krylon Matte(which is pretty awesome, but not like this), and auto primers. It has the added benefit of going on in a very fine, even way, leaving a slightly toothy surface. I've painted some of my acrylic paint onto this base and after some curing it is very solidly adhered. This is the best primer/paint combination I've yet found.
