Hi,

Any idea of the lower hull red color reference for Russian modern ships?

Thanks.

Hi,

New updates on this project.
The first photos shows the hull ready to receive the primer with some photo etched parts already fixed.
As you can see, the hull requires some filler and paper sand, but nothing really serious.

In the next photo, the primer is already applied. You can also see the RIHB and the Davit Boat finished.
As for the Ka-27 helicopter I'll use one from Kuzenetsov Trumpeter with PE for the rotor blades.
The Combrig model does not include the helicopter.

Regarding the water line, I'm thinking to use a white decal along the hull and stern, but bellow the water line I need to paint with a red color.

Any idea of the lower hull red color reference for Russian modern ships?

Thanks.

Hi,

I think the most complex part here is the russian style water line painting.
As far as I know I'll have to paint a white line and below another line painted in what seems to be a red color.

How did you make it?

Thanks.

Hi,

Look at what has just arrive to my workbench!
The Steregushchy (Project 20380) Russian Stealth Corvette produced originally by Gwylan Models, but now available through Combrig.

The Combrig instructions sheets are usually poor, but this one is quite good and I think I have to blame Gwylan Models for the excellent photos and step-by-step guide provided, which is a very useful tool in order to build a good looking model.

The first photo of this model at my workbench:

I wont write any review of this model as there is already one very complete available here:
http://www.modelwarships.com/reviews/sh ... eview.html

At first glance seems to be a quick win project, and sometimes is what I need to provide extra motivation for the other on-going more complex and time consuming projects.

A very nice ship with quite advanced and modern lines, and a must have model to all who are looking for modern model warships!

Thanks.
Regards,
Ayala Botto
