Hello,

Yes, it was normal. The AH Navy operated mainly in the Adriatic sea where the great part of the coastline is green and even the water has light blue-green color. It was a good camouflage, thus the AH Navy gave up the Victorian style camo as the part of its modernization. I think this article will be useful for you:

Why is this model of the Austro-Hungarian battleship RADETZKY painted green in the picture link below? Was this normal for AH Navy/Kuk ships?
