Those look just like the HD steel 1" clamps that felt about 8 oz each. I may add the plastic ones to my next Amazon order, but I wish they were available in matching sizes.

No, these are plastic, except of course for the threaded part. My kitchen scale says that the smaller one is around 1.2oz.

That looks like small clamps I saw at Home Depot. I passed on them because they were cast steel and [i]very [/i]heavy for their size. I felt that a couple of those on light styrene, e.g., clamping a bulkhead to a deck could cause a twist or distortion.

I picked up small and large ones of these at my LHS a while back, but I couldn't remember what brand they were. I think I paid about $3 each. They're by Zona, makers of the Zona saws. I haven't found them as useful as I had expected for ship models, although they have been used a moderate amount for larger trains.

I'm having difficulty sourcing small (1" to 2") c-clamps that are convenient for use with plastic models; all seem to be steel or iron too big to fit in tight or narrow spots and too heavy for styrene. Recommended US sources would be appreciated.
