I've used a metallic sewing thread on 1/144 Uboat. It might work in 1/72 as well. It looks like a real cable, but it's a bit (actually, a lot!) too shiny so you have to dull it down with thinned black. :wave_1:

I have thread which I run through wax and heat to keep from fraying, but I'd like to use something a bit more realistic. Any thoughts?
