Could be I'm looking for hen's teeth. Seems to me like most these days either build a WWII ship or a more recent warships.
Such seems a bit strange; what with all of detailing a modeller can do with warships from the 1950s to 1980s; especially CAGs & CLGs like the USS Boston and USS Salem. Whereas with the CAG-2 Boston retaining both of her forward 8" main turrets and all of her 5" 38DPs,
4 of those 3"50 dual mounts that I trying to get data on, & directors, and new to her class, Terrier missiles + their radars/directors. Ops I almost forgot to add, the ship's profusion of radars and antennas/aerials.
See internet addy below.
IMO a large scale, say 1:96 model warship demands more attention on the water with radars rotating, guns training and what not. This the appeal of warships from thus my period.

But then, could be the lack of info; like drawings for the 3' 50 cals and good plan sets with the post-WWII superstruction mods holding some back?
