I would just like to bring this topic up to date.

Unfortunately, due to a change in circumstances, H.M.S. Marlborough will NOT be sailing at this event, but hopefully it will be making an appearance for display, (as under construction). :heh:

As most of you are aware, I have put Marlborough on hold, whilst I continue building H.M.S. Victorious, so I will be sailing her instead.

The reason being that I can get Victorious built, to a more advanced stage, than I could get Marlborough. Another reason for this decision, is to make sure that there will be at least one operational Aircraft Carrier at this event. Unless another one unexpectedly turns up on the day. :thumbs_up_1:

So far quite a good selection of warships will be present, including my Type XX1 German U-Boat, Ron's H.M.S. Iron Duke, Paul Simpson's H.M.S. Dreadnought, Dave Wooley's Amethyst? and what I have heard through the grapevine, it maybe that two splendid models of H.M.S. Rodney and H.M.S. Vangaurd could be making an appearance, as well as many more smaller models. :woo_hoo: :woo_hoo: :woo_hoo: :jump_1: :jump_1:

It seems that this event could turn out to be quite a spectacle. Let's just hope so and that the weather is kind to us. :yeah:

Sunday July 2nd at Kingsbury Water Park, Warwickshire, just off Junction 9 (M42).

It would be nice to see as many British modeler's as possible, from this site, at this event, so if you can make it, come along and bring what you can, with you. :destroyer: :submarine:

You will ALL be made very :welcome:

Geoff (Victorious)

Coming from South head for the Toll Road & M42. J9 of the M42 is just after where it merges with the Toll Road.

It is hoped that on Sunday July 2nd 2006, H.M.S. Iron Duke and H.M.S. Marlborough, will sail together for the first time since Jutland. This could mark a first in modelling history, for two WW1 model Battleships to be seen sailing together. :woo_hoo: :woo_hoo: :woo_hoo:

Although Marlborough will not be fully fitted out, it is hoped to be at a reasonable advanced stage of completeness. :thumbs_up_1:

A full report of the day's activities will be given on this site, together with a good selection of photographs. :jump_1: :jump_1: :jump_1:

All this will be taking place at Kingsbury Water Park, Warwickshire as part of the K.W.P.M.B.C. Warship Day. It is hoped to attract a large number of various warships. Let's just pray for decent weather. :thumbs_up_1:

Amen.
