Having understood what details to do I do better than paint..it was decided to continue this way  brought to mind a lot of rafts and buoys :cool_2:

Good afternoon.it's been more than a year since I started painting the hull, which almost ended in a complete disaster.I used AKAN paints in the first attempt when working with a liquid mask, the edges of the spots turned out to be completely uneven and torn,at the second attempt, the paint began to be removed together with Tamiya tape., because of this failure, the model was sent to the closet :mad_1:
Now having plucked up the courage to take a solvent, a rag ,sandpaper, I decided to restore it .Also, after reviewing the new developments on the coloring of respected colleagues from "Sovereign Hobbies", I Decided: first of all, they will move by the date on which the model was made..sacrifice part of the anti-aircraft guns in favor of the MC4. Second)use Vallejo paint on the tables for mixing and then fitting.
Losses of course were at all these washings..but it's good that I didn't paint the add-on ))).what happened I put on your court :deadhorse:

I am impressed!! I like to think I'm into detail, but there is no way on earth I could come close to this kind of perfection!

Fantastic work!!! :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

Good afternoon. After reviewing the work done, it was decided to redo the Pom-Pom features of the trunks from the Pontos company which were made just awful, also add some little things. Also it was necessary to make a 4-barrel machine that stands on the aft tower ... Sets of trunks were purchased from Master Models and 4-barrel Pom-pom from NordStar.
for the upper machines, they had to invent coffin boxes ... which stood on two machines at King George.

:wave_1: gentlemen good evening ... I decided to update the construction site a bit. so that you would not think that I was too lazy to do it or abandoned work on King George
I just got sick. :cry_3: and the speed in work fell significantly. In addition, I switched to manufacturing various small things to decorate the model, but they take an awful lot of time. And far from everything I understand how to do so that it is right :sorry:

Good day., The moment when a 1 cm detail in a cube can take two weeks .. so, they stand in the most prominent place I had to make them myself from improvised materials. The detail from Tamia is simply terrible, and from Pontos it is very small.

The hull plating and adding scuttles is what keeps me from diving into the DoY build currently. You did a good job.

I love the scratch-building modifications you're doing as well! Those rafts and oerlikons are sublime! :thumbs_up_1:
Keep it coming!

Good afternoon. Thank you very much for your assessments ... No, initially everything was perfectly smooth as a baby's bottom ... 0.2mm plastic was glued ... on top with being on top of each other and ground into zero, a couple of stripes were added below
Under the anchors, it was then leveled over with the help of an airbrush primer and masks made of adhesive tape...some of the old photos about the beginning of this building ..

Good evening .. So far I decided to take a break from plastic .. And to solder parts from Pontos , and started with cranes as they require a good rework. I tried to make it more or less similar to the prototype from the photographs. Now its about making the base of the cranes.

:wave_1: Good day EJFoeth... you have not accidentally saved photos of the spotlights, especially 44 inch ones - I cant understand how it is inside !! it is arranged and colored ... I remember that I saw them on your site, but now I cant open that page. . = (... I will be very grateful .. :thanks:
P.S. ....I am completely unable to find anything on the Internet on these searchlights ... I am also interested in information (photos) on other models of searchlights that were put on King George

The Carley rafts are amazing. Man, if this is what you do while at learning, I cannot imagine what you will be able to do when you have already learnt... :cool_2:
I will be following this construction.
Best regards from this side,
Willie.
