I do recall that from NAVEDTRA-14325 :thumbs_up_1:

Unfortunetly, Floating Drydock lists the various views that their plans display as follows:

F-HULL SECTION

I'm not sure which of those catergories they place frame diagrams under (and at 20-35 bucks a pop, I'm not going to guess :cool_2: ). I have a feeling they're under either G/A or F&A, but I'm not sure.

In particular, what I'm looking to build is a FRAM'd USS Meredith (DD-980). So far I've got the plans for USS Johnston (DD-821) (FD item #G-DD821), which includes plans for the (A) main deck, (B) outboard profile, (C) bridge, (D) superstructure, (E) platforms, (J) inboard profile, and (P) data. No frames, though.

Frames..

The "Ribs" that are perpendicular to the keel in a ship are referred to as Frames.

by kennylibben » Thu May 25, 2006 10:01 pm

i've heard both use. or just rib layout, ribs, hull sections, etc.

Rookie question...

When purchasing plans, what are the patterns for the hull frames labeled as?

I'm referring to this (from the HMS Iron Duke thread).

I'm guessing either they're called 'hull section' or 'general arrangement/ fore and aft view.'

Which is correct?

The slightly confused,
