Note that SMM is fairly specific on what you legally can and can not do with the plans: build, not sell the result.

There is quite a long list of ships I want to built someday. I am searching for good plans (plans like the one of "Balmoral Castle" would be more than sufficient but I'd take quite anything) of

John Bowen published three volumes on Miniature Merchant Ships, geared towards 1/1200 scale scratch building, with detailed plans for dozens of ships which are fine for 1/700. Just enlarge by 1.71%.

Is there a specific ship you�re looking for? Some of us may have plans in the stash from other sources we could share.

there were/are books by Waine that covered some of those. British Ocean tramps was one. I have several of his books in storage that i'll dig out if I get ambitious

for ages (at least it feels like) I am searching for a good source for suitable plans of ocean liners an merchant ships around 1900. There is a lot of plans for "Titanic", "Lusitania" and the like and quite anything newer, but nearly none for those great older liners like "City of Paris" and all those lesser known ones. I found some here and there but wasn't able to break the mystic code. Same goes for old merchant freight steamers.

Does anyone know a good source? With "Merchant Fleets in Profile" written by Duncan Haws, there is an old british volume around with a lot of sketchy profiles but no deck plans. Anything else around?
