Hi,

As a steam enthusiast, I couldn't resist the opportunity to add a couple or so pics of Steam locos on my trips around the country.

The photos are
1. Tornado, 60163, at speed south of Retford, on the East Coast Mainline.
2. LNER Weekend, with the Tornado and other Pacific locos lined up for a photo shoot (If you could get close enough).
3. Ex- LMS Pacific loco, Duchess of Sutherland, 46233, on an Excursion (Known as the Welsh Dragon) to Holyhead, North Wales.
4. At the National Railway Museum - City of Truro, running number currently 3717.

Hi Admiral,

What amazes me with you, british people, is the way you have kept a lot of your industrial heritage alive, it might be trains, cars, airplanes, boats & ships. I don't think there is another people on earth acting like this!

Nice pictures, I also went sometimes to such events, the smell of burning coal is just delicious!

Regards,

Laurent

Thanks Jim, The CIC caught a chill on the friday and was under the weather with a very stiff shoulder, but she carried on for most of the day, a few highlights for me was being pulled by Tornado and seeing Sir Nigel Greasley in the workshop getting ready to be introduced back in working order.

It was a 3 day steam weekend on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway, preserved loco,s were running the 18 mile length of track.
As a lad I loved my steam loco,s so now was the time to see a few in my closing time of life, ships are now out of the window for me, I have to pass my time looking at things I used to do.
It was a bad day on the friday, never stopped raining, saturday it was sunny , quite pleasent, we had our tickets for the train, this allowed us to get on and off as many times as we liked.

Here are a few photo,s of the loco,s. :wave_1: :wave_1:
