You mean like this: http://combrig-models.com/index.php/1350/54-austro-hungarian-navy/431-viribus1912-350

Granted another resin inhalation project.

Thanks! It was one of those long-fought battles of a build but I'm happy. I'm glad they've redone this kit.

VU or even SI in 1/350 would be fantastic.

Love it. Wish they did this in plastic so badly.

I have a hunch that I will have to scratch one of these in 350 sometime...

Thanks Matt! Idaho is a pretty simple kit and she needed a lot of PE to make her stand up tall. She's full rigged too which is impossible to see in the photos I posted.

VU is coming along nicely. I finished reworking the entire stern section aft cabin area. Looks like it's suposed to now. The Poseidon kit really went off the rails from D turret aft.

So I spent the afternoon sanding the over pour from VU's hull, it's a little tiny bit warped but it's not awful. At this point I'd be surprised if it wasn't. I also noticed the waterline is ever so slightly skewed from the top deck. So the mold was crooked by a millimeter or it just hardened that way. It's not noticeable until you look at it from the underside, and that can't be fixed.

So I'll take some photos soon, but I'm gonna start the build by fixing that awful mess on the stern, and then work on detailing the hull for painting. I have lots of left over PE from years of projects, so hopefully I can match the hatches and doors faithfully. More to come

A peek inside the box of Poseidon Models 1/700 SMS Viribus Unitis. The box is marked Tegetthoff but the kit inside is marked VU, so no issues there.

Included is a ship-specific PE set, railings, brass barrels, and tons of assorted resin bits.

Hull casting isn't perfect. Over pour, the details are a little... off. The area at the bow near the capstan a very deep. Too deep. Also, you'll notice the 2 piece stern. They tried to simulate the windows of the stern cabin but it's just too complicated and you'll see mine arrived damaged. I dislike resin over pour a lot and I've been spoiled with the recent offerings I've built. I just finished Samek's USS Idaho, pictured below, and it was a dream. While VU isn't a nightmare, she's gonna require a lot of work and looks like quite an ambitious project to get it right. I'm gonna build her as she appeared in her green camouflage and pink boot stripe. An interesting scheme that was unique to the KuK.

One gripe, no boats. Not a ships boat to be found. I can scrounge some of course but a kit as nearly as complete as this, it's a big omission. However, the instructions are quite nice for a resin kit and they give you 4 detailed pages. I took a picture of a couple. Nicely done.

The rest looks okay. For $89, I can't really complain, especially with all that's included, missing boats and all. The resin details look okay but will require some cleanup. The subject is pretty obscure but they've always been my favorite dreadnoughts.

So some photos of what you get:
