A most informative book when it came out; there were several different versions published up thru the 70's. Time has taken its toll though; several bits of information has been corrected since its publication as morematerial has come to light. Still, the best IJN reference of its time.

Without doubt the best book I ever got on the IJN, got mine in 1967-8 I still kept it at arms reach from desk , it still is a most concise reference work, as where all the Ian Allen books of that era, even today I doubt that you could find a replacement
and yes mine is starting to fall apart but after 40 years the dust cover very thin like the owners :lol_pound:

This book has been published a number of times, including Doubleday. I have a Doubleday (but UK printed 1967) still in fine condx with a great laminated brodart dustjacket. I got it for under $20 which is a steal.

Japanese Warships of WW.II by A.J. Watts

I have a threadbare copy of Japanese Warships of WW.II by A. J. Watts, published by Ian Allan in 1966 (and in my possession since then).

This book has many beautiful drawings by A. Nani, in addition to a diverse collection of pre-war and wartime photos of the ships covered.

I wonder if this work is in press under another name, and the copyright status of A. Nani's drawings.

Anyone have information relating to A. Nani or this book?
