Thanks for the update.

I have been on the lookout for this book without success.

Did David Murfin indicate that this title was actually published? Or did the Warship 2012 review refer to, perhaps, a review copy.

Hi linux,
David Murfin was a member of the 3.0 version of the Warship Projects Discussion Boards. He was a moderator there.

I was the site admin, but the boards have since been hacked and lost.

I've been trying to get my hands on the work myself, but I haven't been able to find one in the US or the UK.

However, from my discussions with Dave, I can assure you it is not a "wiki-sourced" work. David did extensive research, including as I recall from primary sources such as Admiralty documents.

Hope this helps.
Regards,

I came across this book in a review in Warship 2012:

Directory of British Cruiser Designs 1860-1960
by David Murfin,
160 pages,
published by Croft Books, July 2011,
ISBN: 978-0956952202.

It was a complete surprise; I was not familiar with the book, nor the author, nor the publisher.

My immediate suspicion was that it was one of those print-on-demand Wikipedia sourced books which have appeared in recent years. However the Warship 2012 review was positive, so perhaps it is privately printed by an enthusiast.

Does anybody know any more about it?
