This year, Veteran Models released a new/updated series of their venerable modern USN fittings, one of which is the Blk. IB version of the CIWS. The IB version gives them a FLIR, barrel brace, and longer barrel. These differences are included in Veteran's new set as separate parts, so you can also build the original Blk. IA version if you wish.

- The Phalanx body comes with the traditional Block IA barrel. Blk IB barrels are separate and presumably one chops off the IA barrel if you wish to model the IB version.
