When attempting to scribe a deck in 1:700, here's something I thought of -and basically built out of scraps of styrene.
Take any number of standard sewing needles, say 10. It's basically your pick. I used 6 for the test article. Cut off the beads off at the ends. Line them up together, carefully next to each other, so that the points form a row of teeth. Glue the row of needles to a small piece of scrap styrene, about a centimeter above the needlepoints. Add another piece to the back of this contraption. Using a ruler, you can now scribe decks somewhat easier. Good luck.
