Guys
Tonight i dry brushed my silicone sea base for my current build of the USS Lassen by Trumpeter.
I sprayed the base using plasticote harbour blue blended with a coat of flat black below. I covered the dry painted base with silicone, dappled the sea effect and left to dry for a couple of days. When i went back to it i found that the silicone hadn't dried completely transparent, so i gave the base a respray and then drybrushed very lightly and with one or two long white strokes to add some randomness to it.
My intention is to build a cotton wool wash when im ready to mount the hull to the base.
I would like to know peoples thoughts on my work so far, and appreciate any pointers.
Thanks for looking!
Marty
