Greatly appreciate it! The more I look at Lexington, the more I want to "glass" the portholes with a little bit of glazing glue. It'll be extremely fine work, but worth it if done right. I also need to hit a few spots with 5D (brass showing) and am debating covering the ghastly floatplane cockpit with a tarp.

Um. Because. Um. Reasons? Honestly, I just liked the two decals together. Given that it's a hypothetical, I sort of ran with it.

Awesome job! Just out of curiosity, why "01" vs just a "1" for the hull number?

Thank you all.

The more I look at it, the more I want to add some more to this build. For one, I want to "glass" the portholes. Close ups make them look awful. I may also dump a tarp on the floatplane.

Beautiful interpretation of a great ship had she been built and seen the start of WWII. I especially like the pictures with the shadow of the ship on the house, looks very ominous, or like there's a blueprint there and she's coming to life from it.

Excellent, sir! Thank you for bringing this one to life. It's always a pleasure to see a planned ship that never made it to production. The Lex battlecruisers certainly were monsters!

After a year of off and on building, I can finally put this one to bed.

Used:
- IHP's hull, funnels, and lower superstructure
- 3dModelParts AAA and secondaries
- Maryland.... stuff
- GMM, AMW, Flyhawk, and tons of other PE from the scrap box
- Eduard figures
- Infini Line
- Tons of bash and scratch work
- Likely missing stuff.

Goal here is to show Lexington at high speed sometime shortly before war broke out. I chose Ms-1 a (1) I love it and (2) it's fun to weather.

In retrospect, these aren't the best "in sun" pictures, but I was running out of daylight.
