Many card kits are done in Rhino or Blender. It has become something like a second hobby for some paper modelers. For example -threads are in German but the pictures are clear -

AutoCAD, Inventor, Solidworks, Pro-E and many more. Most use some sort of add on that is designed for parts breakdown and mold flow analysis.

I don't know if this is the the correct answer to your question but it stands to reason that they would use some of the most common programs.

Most likely AutoCAD, or Solidworks. For CAM I would bet on MasterCAM, but lets not forget the BobCAD/CAM which seems to also be another popular one. I hear that Rhyno is considered the best for rendering ships...............some one correct me if I'm wrong.

Does anyone know what CAD and CAM packages each of the major plastic manufacturers use?
