you are absolutely right

,.. that photo is of Gneisenau.
Few easy takes are :
... the 6 boxes on the main deck only Gneisenau had each side of the fwd turrets,
..... the fully coloured top turrets in red ( only GU did that initially while Scharnhorst was keeping the rangefinder hoods light grey ).....
... than the swastika banner that was a lot different between SH and GU :
Gneisenau had a larger white circle, whit a thinner black swastika painted in ( Adm Hipper had that too ),..so very easy way to realize which ship was which,....
... than if you look at the bow,..you do not see the third anchor hole that Schanhorst had and Gneisenau did not have,..... and the bow anchors are on the deck, so the atlantic bow was already fitted,.... on GU.
