Why should the crew want to leave such a lovely vessel? All the the boats should be inboard :thumbs_up_1:

Progress thus far. I decided to mix the davits a bit with some boats inboard and others out. I had to delicately spin the ship slowly whilst grasping the davits with tweezers - I had originally glued them in place pointed outboard.

Rigging, railing and touch up painting to follow.

They are from FineMolds; click on the small pics, and they enlarge enough to get a really good look:

I did some research into the name of this garage kit manufacturer 104??? by Nakamura Shigehito (?????. This I had trans-literated to mean "104 contruction parts" which is basically correct, but it is also the designation for the temporary shipyard that repaired ships at Truk Lagoon before and during WWII.

I wonder what connection Mr. Nakamura has to that shipyard.. ..

I also received the little gunboat today, thanks! Would you happen to know what colours she wore? I would say white sides and weathered teak decks and roofs, but maybe they had other colours? The photograph in Jane's (yeah, she's in there) is inconclusive.
Not sure how accurate, but I painted IJN Toba per this pic:

Progress as of last night quittin` time. I`m thinking the vent cowls are a little big - may have to replace with the next smaller size from the Sealsmodels set:

This is a hard to find garage kit from 104????(104 Construction Parts). It`s been begging me to get started so I did so today. Only the basic parts are included in the kit; spares from the Sealsmodels IJN/RN equipment set are needed to complete the kit, as well as a little scratch building.
