I am currently working on the airwing for my Nimitz. I build mostly 1/48 aircraft and have no problems with general construction and photoetch parts. (I am using WEM cockpits and GMM details to outfit my planes.)
The paint seems to go on thick, decal striping for canopies looks somewhat unconvincing, and a light wash doesn't help much either.
It appears that my general building skills don't apply to these tiny models.
Does anyone have any tips on building convincing little aircraft?
Thanks;
Chris
