I am starting on the IJN Kako with the old Hasegawa kit (got it for free, so I can't complain). The 8" guns look terrible. I am wondering how to put the etch lines (where the armour plates meet) into the turret. Plus, how to create the gap between the side and the top of the turret.
In my Kumano, I treid to use an exacto knife, it worked on the armour plates, but I can't get the gap in. Plus it is exteremely time consuming and labour intensive. If you got a more elegant way, please tell me.
