I do not claim credit for this idea. I read it in some model railroad publication. To keep paint fresh, use a piece of plastic wrap over the bottle and under the cap. I cut pieces from a plastic sandwich bag or use plastic wrap from the roll. It does work. Just replace the plastic everytime you use the bottle. No more lids glued to the bottle top by dried paint.
