I'm sure this has been suggested before, but for those who didn't see, here it is again.
Recently I went to Wal-Mart and bought two three-drawer plastic storage carts, the kind with used for storing craft supplies. I honestly don't see how I ever lived without one. It keeps all of my projects stored neatly and undamaged. Another thing I have found useful is one of those tackle boxes used to store fishing supplies, or beads for crafts. It's handy for keeping small parts organized and un-lost. The lot of 'em cost about $20, but will probably repay itself in not having to replace lost parts, and in keeping my models un-damaged.
