tan decks for IJN? mine i do a maroonish color...and most IJN ships i see have it too... instead of wood. (probably teak)

There are plenty of brands of the exact colors out there... just figure out exactly what you want and either Tamiya or WEM has it i bet (WEM might not if its strictly Japanese)

How much thinner would I need for a tablespoon of paint. Also going to ask if enamel or acrylic is better for paiting the decks of ships.

Also the I brush the paint on 1/700 models. The paint will become thick from all the layers that it blocks out the raised lines of the decks planks.

Well, until you can find a colour photograph of a Yamato deck, paint it whatever shade of tan that looks good for you ;)

I have a hard time getting the exact color for IJN ships. The deck is tough for me. I just cant get the exact mix. Well, I am starting a 1/700 Tamiya Yamato, if anyone can tell me what colors to mix together( ie. light brown, tan, yellow)



And what is the best paint to brush on? I use testors Enamel, the darker paints seem to work better than the lighter ones. Almost like another brand :big_grin:
