I am building a 1/350 USS Carl Vinson. (See viewtopic.php?f=59&t=165358 )
I realized that the hangar bays are filled with various signs and logo's and there are no decal sets available to replicate these.

Therefore, I made my own set. The sheet includes AFFF signs (with the various group and frame numbers), First Aid, Fire Extinguishers (CO2 and PKP), and various power outlets. (115V and 440V)
Also included is the naval aviation logo for the inside of the external hangar bay doors and the ship and air wing logo for the internal fire doors.
The safety stripes are both straight (for deck) and angled for doorways and sponsons. These are "cut to proper width"

The set in the picture is for the USS carl Vinson and CVW-15 (from circa 1983)
I can change the ship and air wing logo to the ones of your choice.
If you can print your own decals, Just message me your email and I will send you a hi-res (600dpi) photo.
If you cannot, I can print a set out for the cost of paper and shipping.
(this is a sheet of clear film which requires each decal to be cut/trimmed before soaking in water and applying)

I have made some proof sheets for a couple of folks already. It has come to my attention that some of the earlier years (pre-1990) the AFFF signs were blue and later (more recent) were green. I can make them either or both. Just let me know. The pictures I have of the Vinson from 1983 had them in Blue and the more recent pictures show them green.
I have attached an example of the green AFFF signs for reference.

If you are not quite sure which air wing was on the ship for the time frame you are building, This website has cruise books from ships which will show you the air wing and squadrons on a particular cruise.

Hi Wolfman,

Nice looking work! I would like to get a set for Nimitz CVW-9 1991 and Carl Vinson CVW-11 1998. I print my own decals so I can provide you with an email to send to if that works.

Thanks,

Mark

I have updated my 1/350 Hangar Bay Decal Sets. You can now purchase for a specific ship. Each set includes every decal to detail the hangar bay on your 1/350 aircraft carrier. Sample of USS Nimitz and USS Enterprise below. See https://davidsscalemodels.com/decals/mo ... ay-decals/

I have added many new decals to the decal page. You can now get the US Navy modern aircraft carrier hangar bay decal sets in 1/350 scale and now in 1/700 - 1/720 scale! I have also added a couple of sets for the 1/350 USS Wasp class amphibious assault ship (LDH) hangar bays! They will add a level of realism to the hangars on your model ships. You can see all the details on my decal page at https://davidsscalemodels.com/decals/

UPDATE! After a couple of months of work I have completed most of the 1/350 San Antonio class LPD ship hangar bay decal sets. These cover all the ships in this class from LPD-17 thru LPD-25. I am still gathering the references for LPD-26 thru LPD-30. So if you are building a 1/350 San Antonio class LPD and are looking to detail the hangar bay and dock area these sets will bring more realism and details to the model. You can see samples and purchase them in my decal section at https://davidsscalemodels.com/decals/1- ... ecal-sets/
