I was in Numazu a few days back and happened across well stocked modelshop. The owner, Nagi-San, was kind enough to allow me to photograph the place. He had computer in his shop; I introduced him the the modelwarships.com website. I have never seen so much photoetch for sale under one roof.

Customers built the kits on display in his shop.

It certainly is well stocked and looks like a 1:700 builders paradise.

That is awesome, I wish there was a shop in Cleveland area that had at least ten ships stocked.

And I thought that the Spare Time Shop had a ton of ship models :heh:

This place would be the ultimate shopping experience :woo_hoo:

Looks like a real heaven for a 1/700 guy!

In Munich I am more depending on internet for 1/350 scale... However my local model shop features about a dozen different color systems and loads of accessoirs so getting them in realtime is easy.

Another very attractive feature of Numazu, Japan. My favorite brew is the Teikoku India Pale Ale. The master brewer/owner is an American and great to chat with whilst quaffing his fine craft brews.

Boy, I could go wild in that store, just in the photo-etch section. Holy cow, that is cool - thanks for posting the pictures.

This type of shop seems to be the norm in Japan. I was in a similar shop in Sasebo in 2004. I was amazed.

Models shops do indeed rock in Japan. Best of all, some of them have point cards, so they'll give you a discount once you fill them up. :thumbs_up_1:

I live a stone's throw away from Pit-Road's shop/showroom in Kawasaki, Northport. Excellent selection of models and PE there as well. Plus they get all of Pit-Road's new stuff first, of course.
