Ciao Lucky

Thanks for posting. I'm thinking of getting this kit and thanks for posting such a good review.

Hello, I got this for Christmas, I looked at it, and quickly closed the box due to all the many small parts, I'll be building this sometime in the New Year, because there are so many parts of this kit, would you say it would be best to paint as I go, or assembly and then paint as a whole ? At the moment I was building the Borodino (and completely stuck) so at the moment for stress, I have almost finished the La Seine oiler/refuling ship. As regards to the Oliver Hazard Perry, I don't really want the full PE kit, however I will try just the rails, would you also say that the plastic parts are good enough to make this kit look good ?

I got mine last week here in Perth for $39.95 I also got a Tamiya IJN Yukikaze DD for $100 althrought the FFG from a quick look in the box ist as good as the tamiya DD its much better value for money IMHO I had to pass on the Hasegawa Akagi at $340 !!

PS the Tamiya Yukikaze looks much better that the the Hasegawa one ( I have yet to actually build either ( the retiment stasch)

Hi Luciano,

It looks as though you bought just about every possible add-on that I'm aware of for this kit!!

Looking back over it, are the Veteran Models Phalanx and Seahawks worth getting? Also, is there one PE that is worth getting over the other or should both really be bought?

It looks as though I might have to purchase the Iron Shipwrights' decal set if only to get the numbers. Unless someone is aware of a decal set that would include HMAS Adelaide?

I value your thoughts.

cheers,

bj

Hi bj
My intention is to show all the sets
The modeler decides :thumbs_up_1:
I suggest both sets of PE!
The Yankee realizes all the pylons, the WEM no!
The sets Veteran Model are fantastic

Decals for Australian Perry class ships, I've never seen!

Hi Luciano,

It's been over a year since you first posted the OHP thread. Have you finished building the ship?
I got my OHP for just $20 and PE upgrade set from MK1 (Korea) for $25. The output is OK, as shown in this thread:
