Hi, Bernd!

I know , you use the very reliable data abvout the Bismark.
Also I walked around www today- yes, the antimagnetic system can consist of few separate coils - no need in springs around the whole hull.. .

The result: I have to:
- do some additional works with my model;
- say: thank you!

With best regards -
Anatoly

Hallo, friends!

I've made some changes with my Bismarck hull:
- the MES cable was removed to Spt.10,5
-the sterh frames were smoothed a little bit.

With best regards-

Indeed the stern looks better! My question concerns the base pedestals, these fit into pockets molded or fitted into the bottom of the hull? I haven't decided as to what sort of base to mount my Missouri, though may go with keel blocks and a removable clear case because of dust. Yours looks quite nice and does get around possible issues with a warping base. Here in Alaska the extreme dryness indoors can cause issues with wood.

Regards: Tom

Hi, Tom!
There are few ancient photos about my Bismsrck base.
The material of the base is oak.
The only minus of the construction- two big holes in the hull bottom- but they are never seen!

With best regards -
Anatoly

That's an awesome result Anatoliy! Beats any Trumpeter hull no matter how much remodelling it has. Love the rivets etc. on the plating, you have even the tiniest grating! :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :woo_hoo:

Anatoly,

Where did you find your hull documentation - I've been looking all over the place for hull plating diagrams....

Great job so far!

Take care,

John

Hi, John !
To be frankly, I have no exact documents about the hull. I tried to order the plans from Harhaus and even from Blohm&Voss - but without a success. So , I use technical descriptions (for example-
"The Bismarck- the history, the legend and the model"- from Hachette (Russian issue)), the Gally's drawings, the Harhaus 1/100 Bismarck model drawings, lots of books about the ship, and - kindly help from the shipmodellers! For example, lots of information I get from topic "Bismarck 1/100: Reconstruction of the hull" - it is here, in Online Scratchbuild- the autor is 109 (Bernd)- his help was (and is!) really huge.
And, of course, I work with photos..
So, there are lots of improvisations and technical "guesses " in my work- and my work is open for criticism!
With best regards-
Anatoly
